This blog documents the day-to-day things I face in my dedication to painting.
My passion is painting in acrylics and drawing. I am currently focusing on the sea and really love the tussle of ‘capturing’ water and light – two endlessly moving elements! Tough stuff.
I write from an artist’s perspective but look forward to hearing comments from art lovers, artists and people interested in art. There are all sorts of interesting side-issues associated with making art and some of those are included here.
My current blogging pattern is divided unevenly between www.philipparobert.com and seascapes aus. While I publish two posts a week on my website, I plan to continue monthly with seascapes aus. I really appreciate your comments, support and conversations and hope to stay in touch!

Adelaide slightly cooler today – after 43 on Thursday everything lower seems cool! Not the Brisbane humidity though which drives up the ‘feels like’ temp.

Yes, it is a fascinating work, both as a film and as a developing mural and story. I shared it on facebook. Hi Phillipa, The Jo Peel video is fantastic and I’m not sure I can get my head around what it takes to produce something as complex as that. There is a list of credits at the end and i’m sure they had a part to play but the art work and it’s animation is from the mind of a genius. I love Jo’s work and others that are involved in the Scrawl Collective. I noticed that you have subscribed to Postcard Cafe and it’s good to have you on board.
